Facial Contouring
Facial contouring at ORI is about restoring balance and definition to your natural features without the need for invasive surgery. We focus on refining the jawline, lifting the cheeks, and slimming the lower face to create a more sculpted and youthful silhouette.
By combining skin-tightening technologies with strategic volume restoration, we help you achieve a sharper, more refreshed profile that looks beautiful from every angle.
WHAT CAUSES IT?
Think of your face like a house: over time, the foundation and the framing begin to shift. When we are younger, the "structural supports" — our bone density and firm fat pads — stay high up on the cheeks, giving the face a sharp, lifted look. As the years go by, gravity and a loss of collagen cause these supports to slide downward, making the lower half of the face look heavier and the jawline look less defined.
It is not just about sagging skin, though. Sometimes, the muscles we use for chewing or clenching can grow over-developed, making the jaw look wider and squaring off the face. Facial contouring is essentially a way to "renovate" these lines — tucking the lower face, lifting the cheeks, and sharpening the edges so your natural facial structure can stand out again.
HOW CAN I TREAT AND PREVENT?
To achieve a more sculpted look, we focus on two things: lifting the "sag" and sharpening the edges of the jawline. By reducing heaviness in the lower face and restoring volume where it’s been lost, we can recreate the clean, defined lines of a youthful profile.
HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound): This non-surgical facelift uses focused energy to tighten the deep foundation layers of your skin. It is ideal for lifting sagging jowls and "shrink-wrapping" the skin around the jawline for a much sharper look.
Masseter Slimming: If your jaw looks wide or square due to strong chewing muscles, we use targeted injections to relax them. This slims the lower face and creates a softer, more "V-shaped" contour without touching the bone.
Collagen Biostimulators & Dermal Fillers: We use these to "build" where the face has lost support. By adding subtle volume to the cheekbones or the chin, we create a lifting effect that pulls the skin tight and makes the jawline look more distinct.
Microneedling Radiofrequency: This treatment focuses on the surface and middle layers of the skin. It thickens the skin and melts away small amounts of stubborn fat, which is ideal for "sculpting" a double chin or smoothing out a soft jawline.
While we cannot stop gravity, you can slow down the "sag" by protecting your skin’s elasticity. Daily sun protection is the most important step, as UV rays destroy the elastin that keeps your skin tight against your face.
If you tend to clench your jaw or grind your teeth at night, wearing a mouthguard can prevent the masseter muscles from over-developing and widening your lower face.
FAQ
-
Our philosophy at ORI is restoration over alteration. Instead of creating a face that is not yours, we focus on returning your features to where they sat five or ten years ago.
By sharpening a soft jawline or subtly lifting the cheeks, we aim for a look that makes people say you look refreshed or well-rested, rather than looking like a different person.

A surgical facelift physically cuts and pulls the skin, which requires significant downtime. HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) works from the inside out. It sends heat to the SMAS layer — the same deep tissue surgeons tighten — to trigger a natural "shrink-wrap" effect. You get a visible lift and tightening without a single incision or the "pulled" look of surgery.
-
Yes, and this is a very common concern for those who clench their teeth or grind at night. We use targeted injections to relax the masseter (chewing) muscles.
When these muscles are not working overtime, they gradually slim down, transforming a square, heavy jaw into a more elegant, tapered "V-shape" within a few weeks.
-
It depends on whether the heaviness is caused by fat or loose skin. If it is stubborn fat, we often recommend Microneedling RF to "sculpt" the area.
If the "double chin" is actually just sagging skin, we focus on HIFU to tighten the tissue and pull it back against the jawline. We will assess your profile during your consult to see which approach will give you the sharpest edge.

There isn’t a specific age, but rather a structural stage. Some patients in their 20s seek contouring to refine their natural bone structure, like sharpening a chin or slimming a wide jaw.
Others in their 40s and 50s come to us to reverse the effects of gravity. Starting preventative tightening early can often delay the need for more intensive treatments later on.
-
Most of our contouring treatments are very well-tolerated. For HIFU, you might feel a warm, tingly sensation deep under the skin, and for Microneedling RF, we use a high-strength numbing cream to ensure you are comfortable.

Because we are stimulating your own collagen and relaxing your own muscles, the results are long-lasting but not permanent. Muscle slimming typically lasts 4 to 6 months, while the skin-tightening effects of HIFU can last 12 months as your body continues to build new collagen.
